Creating a Caregiver Resume

Comments (3)

Many caregivers are unsure of what to put on their caregiver resumes or how to apply for a caregiver job because the skills required are far and plenty. Here are a few questions to ask yourself to get your started on your resume.

  • Do you get up during the night to help your partner to the bathroom?
  • Do you rearrange your schedule to clean your mother’s house and cook her meals?
  • Do you balance your father’s checkbook or organize and dispense his prescription medications?
  • Do you have to take time off from work to take your aunt to the doctor?

Caregiver and Caretaker Resumes

If you said yes to any of these questions, then you qualify for caregiver jobs. And you can put those skills in your resume.

  1. Assisting
  2. Maintaining and rearranging schedules
  3. Dispensing medications
  4. Organizing and balancing checkbooks
  5. Arranging for healthcare

These are all caregiver skills that help improve the life of that individual. Not many people have the patience or capability to provide care on a daily basis. For more on caregiver resumes, check out the caregiver resume samples.
